This is a test piece for “Stolen Moment” to see if my ideas of giving texture to the fabric would work. I sprayed a piece of clayboard with a an acrylic shadow color and started scratching.
As I scratched I noticed that I needed to alter my technique in order to come closer to the effect I was shooting for. Also, the solid shadow color was problematic as I was unable to scratch to the extent I wanted in the darker areas. Clearly I needed to alter my shading plan a bit.
